I am posting because I haven't posted since April 15. Oh and this is for my friend Hallie: April, 15, 2008 Was The 96 Anniversary Of The Sinking Of The Titanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally forgot to say that. Hmmmm what should I talk about. Got it.
I was getting a bunch of icons so that I could print them out to make my planner look better I think it looks good. Here are a few of the icons I chose:

Sorry guys I'll try to post a few next time. . .
Onto another note:
You know that "No child lifted behind" law? Ok, well I have a few things to say about it:
1. It's stupid
2. Testing kids is only testing there abilities to take tests not how they actually do in school
3. If you take away money from failing schools their just going to fail worse next time
4. Lots of kids waste their time at school taking the tests instead of the schoolwork they need to be doing
5. The tests don't count for anything
6. You learned that stuff so long ago you don't remember half of it
7. Kids get stressed about the tests
8. You don't get the results until months latter
9. There are people that can't take tests that are forced to (Autistic kids)
10. Kids taking the tests might do better if it weren't a test, some have fears of tests, and some like to talk out loud when they work
All in all this looks like a flawed law don't you think? It's not a bad idea. Having a law that requires schools to have good standards, but we should go about it in a different way. I mean the failing schools need help not money taken from them. As for how to test people I don't have any ideas, but almost anything is better than a completely silent room with just the scratching of pencils and the russle of paper.
Oh and conferences suck. I just had to go to some student-lead conferences with my mom and it was annoying. I hate how I have to point out what I'm good and bad at. I still have 2 more to do. Oh joy, oh joy. That will be LOADS of fun.
What else have I been doing. . . I have ice show practices now. I am in my ice show this year. The theme is "The Four Seasons" or something like that. I have a solo this year as well as a group number. My solo is to "Let it Snow" by I don't know. My group number is to "September" (no not wake me up when September ends just September.) So, I am doing that. I am also going to be taking beginning fencing on Mondays. It's going to be awesome. It will also prepare me for a Theatrical swordplay camp I am going to this summer. My parents both think that I will love it and I agree. Nothing else is going on that I know of.
Gotta go to skating,
~Lola
